Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

This popped up in my Facebook feed. Probably a but too cheap (half the current going rate) 218k km. 3rd gear synchro sounds like it’s in the way out. Ive been looking for a reliable dd to have as backup for my bimmer. But.... I have wanted one of these since my dc5 days and I don’t think I’m going to lose a lot buying this. Checking it out tonight. What do you guys think?

This is probably just what I’m looking for to give my sister. I can’t find anything good around here lately.

eh... if its going for half the usual price i’d give it a more thorough look over just in case (panel gap by the hood looks rather big too... but maybe thats normal)

other than that tho... its a nice looking car.. id probably go for it if i couldnt find any major issues during the once over)

Gaps in the front look a bit off, but a Phoenix Yellow DC2

Why does it have the USDM front? I thought we were the only ones cursed with that.

How bad is car theft in your area? I’d honestly be too scared to park the car out of my sight.

I’d be worried about it being stolen. Also it’s not particularly safe in an accident

Car theft in Australia is generally not too bad. Will be parked outside under cover.

Yeh I’ve done a check and its not stolen or crashed.

I’m sure it’s just safer for my patients to arrive at work rather than be broken down in the bimmer..

I keep seeing that in most of the ones I find on CL. At first, I thought it must be evidence of body damage, but now I don’t think so. Funny, I don’t remember that in my sister’s Integra, though.

Don’t let it stop you from getting a PPI is what it means.

Well, shit, I’m sorry. Misery loves company, I guess. I wish all ITRs had the JDM front, it’s cleaner.

In any case, a Phoenix Yellow DC2 ITR as a daily flogger, sign me the hell up!

Every region except for Japan got the 4 round lights. Even the early cars in Japan had the bug eyed front.

I see you said no accident history, but that front end looks pretty misaligned.

If all panels are original to the car though, I’d say go for it.

DEW IT! According to a book I read; synchros are for people who can’t shift anyways.

It’s hard to say no to a yellow car

It’s normal. There is a silicon gasket there.

I daily mine (with some minor mods done to it, more coming though), I cant get enough of it!! I can take the subway to work, but take the ITR just because I love driving it so much.

Front panel gaps look a little wonky on that one... worked with a guy that had a pretty green one of the non-typeR models. It was surprisingly visceral - transmission very mechanical, brakes super hard, plus it was tiny - I barely fit.

didnt do it. The body was nice, but the third gear was completley gone and steering felt vague. Had a loud intake and a droney exhaust

Would need a few thousand put in before making it a reasonable sample. Unfortunatly I just dont have the time. Its going to be a great bargain for someone at the $6k asking price
